Flightly
Chegg Skills UX/UI Certificate Program Capstone Assessment; End-to-End Product
As part of the Chegg Skills UX/UI Certificate Program, for the capstone assessment, my goal was to design a travel app using UX skills, mockups, rationale, and a design presentation. I designed a flight booking app called Flightly. This mobile app is built for budget-conscious travelers who are tired of juggling various websites just to find a great deal.
Over the course of this project, I conducted user interviews to uncover real pain points, developed a site map, wire frames, and low-fi prototypes, designed high-fidelity mock-ups in Figma, and ran usability tests and iterated based on feedback. And what was the biggest takeaway? Good design is not just about looks; it is about solving real problems for real people!
Design Brief (Presentation)
Flightly was designed for budget-conscious travelers frustrated by fragmented, time-consuming booking experiences. User research revealed that frequent travelers such as professionals, students, and entrepreneurs want a single reliable platform to search, compare, and manage flights without jumping between multiple apps.
The result is a clean, one-stop mobile app that surfaces the best deals upfront, lets users track price alerts, and makes flexible-date comparison effortless.
